Outreach Activities
アウトリーチ活動
Below are some of the many outreach activities I was involved in during my time as a student at Clemson University and while abroad.
Clemson University Japanese Speech Contest Spring 2023
In Spring of 2023, I had the honor of representing my class in the annual Clemson University Japanese Speech Contest. This contest was a wonderful chance to fellow Japanese students showcase their language skills by giving speeches to an audience of around 100 people. As a result of many hours of hard work and dedication practicing my speech, I won the 1st Place prize in the speech contest.

Kichijoji and Nishiogikubo Tours
While studying abroad in Tokyo, I assisted my friend, Hibikana, in conducting her Hashigotabi tours of local neighborhoods like Kichijoji and Nishiogikubo. Through these tours, I was able to connect with people from around the world while visiting Kichijoji's local bars and izakayas. They also helped me better understand the city that I was living in by seeing authentic Tokyo culture first-hand, away from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya and Shinjuku. Tokyo Voice Training School
While studying abroad in Tokyo, I took one-on-one Japanese Voice Acting Lessons at the Tokyo Voice Training School's Akihabara location. This experience helped improve my confidence in my Japanese reading and speaking skills, while also being very enjoyable. The instructors there also helped me better understand why pitch intonation was important for both voice acting and conversational Japanese, which isn't normally taught in regular Japanese classes.
